The road rules
Terms of Service
Last updated: August 25, 2026. These Terms govern your access to billboard.dev, a service for reserving digital billboard time and publishing creative content.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, uploading an advertisement, or using billboard.dev, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account, credentials, and all activity carried out through it.
2. The service
billboard.dev provides account features, previews, time-based billboard placements, booking history, payment processing, and related software. We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service, including availability, operating hours, placement, display format, and features, without guaranteeing notice.
3. Advertisements and content rules
You are solely responsible for every message, image, destination URL, trademark, and other material you submit. You represent that you own or have permission to use it, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe rights or violate law. Do not submit unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent, hateful, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, dangerous, malware-related, or regulated content. We may review, reject, resize, remove, pause, or block content at any time.
4. Content license
You keep ownership of your content. You grant billboard.dev a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, resize, format, publicly display, technically distribute, and promote submitted content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. You confirm you have authority to grant this license and that the content contains no material you are prohibited from sharing publicly.
5. Bookings and payment
A booking is a request for one or more hourly slots. A slot may be held during checkout, but it is not confirmed until payment is successfully verified. Prices and currency are shown before checkout. Stripe processes payment details under its own terms. We use Checkout IDs, booking identifiers, metadata, webhooks, return verification, and automated reconciliation to confirm, release, or investigate bookings.
Expired, failed, cancelled, reversed, disputed, duplicate, or suspicious transactions may be cancelled or withheld from display. If payment is captured but a placement cannot be delivered, we will investigate and may provide a refund or replacement placement where appropriate. We do not guarantee impressions, clicks, uptime, reach, conversions, sales, rankings, or return on investment. Taxes, bank fees, and currency conversion fees may apply.
6. Cancellations, refunds, and disputes
Because billboard hours are reserved inventory, cancellation and refund rights are those shown at checkout and those required by applicable law. Contact us before initiating a chargeback. Fraudulent or abusive payment disputes may result in suspension and recovery of permitted costs.
7. Public display and third-party links
Submitted ads may be publicly visible and may link to third-party websites. We do not endorse or control linked services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or transactions. Do not include confidential information in an ad or URL.
8. Moderation and account enforcement
We may investigate reports, preserve information, cooperate with lawful requests, block ads, block users, cancel bookings, and restrict access. We do not promise to monitor all content. We may suspend or terminate accounts immediately for breach, fraud, abuse, legal risk, security concerns, or operational reasons. You may not scrape, reverse engineer, overload, bypass safeguards, impersonate others, or use the service to build a competing product.
9. Intellectual property
The billboard.dev name, software, design, documentation, and service belong to us or our licensors. Except for the limited right to use the service, no rights are granted. Feedback may be used without restriction or compensation.
10. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, OR PARTICULAR RESULTS. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Liability and indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, billboard.dev and its providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the affected booking. You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, use of the service, breach of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights, except to the extent caused by our final adjudicated misconduct.
12. Changes and disputes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version. Continued use after its effective date means acceptance. These Terms are governed by the law applicable where billboard.dev’s operator is established, without regard to conflict rules, and disputes belong in the courts with jurisdiction there unless mandatory law says otherwise. Contact us through the support contact published on billboard.dev for legal notices or complaints. You can email us at hey@billboard.dev.
